In My Head: A cup of tea with lemon and honey. What else?
Website: The crisp, clean scent of green tea touched with lemon verbena and honeysuckle.
In the Bottle: Lemon verbena, mostly. Also something sharper, which I’ll bet is the green tea. No honeysuckle yet.
Immediately After Application: Entirely lemon verbena so far. It’s okay, but I suppose I’d hoped for more tea.
Warming Up: Very herbal, which is what lemon verbena has traditionally done on me. I can’t say I care for it, unfortunately.
Dried: Still herbena (see what I did there?), but with shades of tea and waaaayyyy in the background, if I’m sniffing for it, I can detect a hint of honeysuckle.
Overall: I’d hoped to smell like a cup of tea, and ended up smelling like herbs. Lemon verbena is a nice enough scent, but it’s not for me, unfortunately. …Four Hours Later… I just idly sniffed my wrist to see if the scent was still there. It is, and the lemon verbena has backed off. It’s calmed down into something sweet and more like what I wanted from the get go. It’s very nice. Still not keeping it, as I’d prefer something that doesn’t take 4 hours for me to really enjoy.
It Rates: 2/5. I’ll swap or sell this guy, lemon verbena is just not my taste. :\
